Veekraal lê aanliggend aan die R716, wat ‘n provinsiale teerpad is en wat bestuur word deur die Vrystaatse owerheid wat in Bloemfontein gesetel is.

Die area van Veekraal word egter bedien deur ‘n grondpadnetwerk.  Die grondpaaie is onder die amptelike jurisdiksie van die Metsimaholo-munisipaliteit.  Ten spyte van die amptelike mandaat, word die grondpaaie van Veekraal grootliks geïgnoreer deur Metsimaholo en raak die onderhoud daarvan die taak van die inwoners.

Veekraal is located adjacent to the R716 tar road, which is under the control of the Freestate provincial government that is managed from Bloemfontein.

Serving the properties of Veekraal, the area is served with a network of gravel roads that is under the official jurisdiction of the Metsimaholo municipality.  However, in practice the municipality does not actively maintains the gravel roads and the upkeep thereof defaults to the inhabitants of Veekraal.
